I was really happy to see a feature I shot in 2014 run in FishHead magazine. It was a story that we knew would be topical a year later so we pre-planned to shoot it for February 2015. Both shots that ran are essentially street portraits. I set them up at the beginning of the parade while everyone was assembling and getting ready. The cover shot especially needed a clean background so kindly asked the subject if we could relocate in open shade by the side of a commercial building. I’m liking the newly redesigned layout of FishHead Magazine and how we can now run covers that are a head and shoulders. It’s really engaging with viewers having that one on one experience.
