All OK in Capital after 6.5 earthquake

I was at home during the biggest quake to hit Wellington in quite a few years. We were all OK and sustained no damage at home. Luckily we’d already secured the bookcase, artwork and all loose items with Quakehold (Blutac). I’m still waiting to hear about wether I can go into the city to get to the studio. For more information I’d recommend Wellington Emergency Management Office: http://wellington.govt.nz/about-wellington/emergency-management
Here are some photos I took of the Mecure Hotel in Te Aro which has been closed as of the July 21, 2013 earthquake:

Overall view of the Mecure Hotel following the July 21, 2013 earthquake which hit Wellington. The hotel appears to be intact when looking at it from the street. It’s hard to tell whether the building is actually sound or will have to come down. Photo by Mark Tantrum | www.marktantrum.com
