The bi-annual “Artbourne” exhibition at Wellesley College, a fundraiser and awareness builder for the Scholarship and Capital Works programs at the school opened on Thursday night. There are some amazing artists on display. I noted the photography of Ans Westra and was privileged to hear Fiona Pardington speak. She spoke about the value of art for students, even if they do not pursue it for their career, an appreciation of the messages contained within art can help with our development. A great point she made was that we are all learning this “Life” think for the first time, every bit of wisdom from artists experiences can be really helpful in rounding us out as human beings is truly valuable.
