On Saturday I went and photographed the opening of the exhibits for the Dowse. It was a great blend between the high brow art world of the Wallace Art Awards in conjunction with the Fullbright Association and Scott Eady’s 100 Bikes Project which had kids from ages 3-8 taking part.
This is one of the strengths of the Muesum is that it can bring in Kiwi culture of the Hutt and mix it up with the art world. Its a great blend, relaxed atmosphere and lots of fun. I do want to go back and check out all the exhibits in my own time now though. There was not time to meander through the gallery and soak in all the new work.
