This morning I am writing from the dizzy heights of Altitude Inc. Its altitude simulation training where you are hooked up to a ventilator which reduces the oxygen you breath, just like being in the mountains. I’m in the 3rd week of the training which I won as part of a spot prize on the Xterra Challenge night run.
I have found that it has really helped my running. My cardio has for sure improved so that I can maintain a rhythm easier.
The other benefit is that I am going to be working at altitude in the mountains in the Winter Games this month. Good thing is that I will be “peaking” with my performance for the games!
