Inspiration from former soldiers turned athletes

It interested me in the Slalom Adaptive event how many British and American soldiers there were that had suffered injuries while serving in Afganistan and Iraq, that then have applied “adapted” to become Paralympic athletes. It’s for sure inspiring to see the drive and determination that it takes to reach the levels these athletes have reached. While for sure it is unfortunate that they sustained their injuries in the fist place, I can see the importance of not dwelling on this.
