I saw a cool performance at Whitireia Performing Arts Centre

These shots are from a demo of the performing groups currently studying at the Whitireia New Zealand Performance Centre. I was there as part of my mentoring program as a guest of the Wellington Employers Chamber of Commerce. There were welcome speeches, the show and then drinks and networking. I brought my camera “just in case” and took these sitting in the front row with only a 50mm lens.

I love the staunch expression on this performer. She really makes it clear she means business!

The grass skirts were cool- they really moved when certain swaying motions were performed.

Even though this was not the end of the piece, it was a good coordinated display. The hair do on the left is pretty awesome too!
