San Francisco but not as we know it

One of the things I hoped to do while in the San Francisco Bay area was to do a photo shoot of the city, including one of the bridges like the Golden Gate or Bay Bridge. I had a couple of friends who were interested in driving up and spending an afternoon photographing- friends who had transportation (handy) and who had done research into some no so well known locations to photograph the city from. I am thankful to Devin and Colin for their help in making this photo excursion happen.

Our first port of call was Treasure Island, right over the first span of the Bay Bridge. It was late afternoon and reasonably average looking. Still there were many photographers with tripods shooting, and the parking lot was full with tourists getting their shots in front of the postcard view of the city from across the Bay.

Not far from here- we managed to drive to an awesome location and got a seriously different angle – from immediately above the Bay Bridge top span (the bridge has two directions, one directly above the other.
